Keri Aoki
Founder
Keri Aoki is the Administrator and Founder of Woodland Haven, and Woodland Wonder School. She fell in love with child development in High School when she took a ROP Careers with Children Course where she was able to work hands on with elementary-aged children in the special education department. Many years later, after having children of her own, she experienced the lack of early education settings in Woodland. When the former Woodland Montessori School closed after she had planned to enroll her son there, she decided to reopen the school for infants-preschoolers, and it is now known as Woodland Haven. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her daughter for cheer competitions, going to her son’s baseball and basketball games, fishing with her family, bird watching on her front porch and going to fields across Yolo County that her husband helps farm. In addition to spending time with friends and family, she also enjoys volunteering on non-profit child advocacy boards.

Kayleigh Stalie
Executive Director
Ms. Kayleigh has been part of the Administrative team of Woodland Haven since day one and played a critical role in establishing the school's health and safety guidelines. She was promoted to Assistant Director and has since learned to lead daily operations of a preschool and childcare center. She has a Bachelor's Degree from CSU Chico in Health Science and Education with a Minor in Health and Wellness. She has continued her educational journey by completing courses at both Theoria and Woodland Community College to achieve an Early Childhood Education Achievement Certificate. Outside of Woodland Wonder School, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter searching for their next adventure, baking, gardening and loving on her small herd of animals. She is excited to move her flock of chickens to our school so we can share the experience of caring for livestock and appreciating the food that they provide us.

Ms. Ashley
Education Director
Ms. Ashley is the Executive Director of Woodland Haven, and she will be assisting at Woodland Wonder School by leading our teachers in center management and curriculum implementation. With her 20 years of Early Childhood experience and a Masters Degree in Early Education, she is our expert in curriculum and behavioral management. She will spend most of her time at Woodland Haven, however, she will also be available to Woodland Wonder School parents if they would like guidance on behavioral or developmental concerns regarding their child. Outside of these schools, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their 4 dogs and her immediate family members. She enjoys going camping and on beach trips, as well as crafting!

Ms. Karina
Primary Little Ferns Teacher
Ms. Karina has been working with children in a child development setting for 25 years. She fell in love with this career when she began volunteering in her daughter's preschool classroom. Since then, she has worked with children from infancy to school age. It brings her much joy to teach children and help them discover who they are and who they want to be. In her recent career, she has been a Primary Teacher in the Pre-K classroom at Woodland Haven. While she loves Woodland Haven, she is looking forward to independently leading her own classroom at Woodland Wonder School. In her free time, she enjoys trying new cooking recipes, gardening, candle making, bike riding and going to the beach.

Ms. Athena
Primary Little Sprouts Teacher
Ms. Athena is our energetic toddler teacher who builds a strong foundation for our toddler-aged children to be successful in a preschool setting. She is the former Lead Teacher of Woodland Haven's Little Climbers classroom and has done a wonderful job at creating engaging centers and activities. She is excited to move to Woodland Wonder School so she can develop a close bond with a small group of children and have the opportunity to do what she loves most, teach! She has worked with children for 10 years and loves that there is never a dull day! She loves to watch their personalities develop, which is part of why toddler is her favorite age to teach. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading and painting.

Ms. Dorothy
Art & Music Teacher
Ms. Dorothy is our much beloved Art & Music Teacher! After nearly 30 years of working as a preschool teacher, she is now able to focus on what she loves to do most, which is playing her guitar and making music and crafts with children. She will continue to work for both Woodland Haven and Woodland Wonder School so her blessings can continue to be shared by both schools. Ms. Dorothy grew up in Jamaica and loves to share her culture with our students. Outside of school, she attends a local church every Sunday and loves to spend time with her sons and grandchildren.

Ms. Jacklyn
Chinese & NutritionTeacher
Ms. Jacklyn recently began her passion for early childhood education after becoming a mother. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Nutrition and is currently involved in trichome research on polyploidy mint at the Comai lab. She recently became a fully qualified preschool teacher after completing various ECE courses at UC Davis, Harvard Extension and Theoria Technical College. She finds it particularly rewarding to guide children in emotional regulation and to explore daily science topics together. She is looking forward to teaching at Woodland Wonder school to introduce children to Simplified Chinese and Nutrition and to witness our Little Sprouts & Little Ferns blossom into little scientists!

Ms. Alexis
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Alexis is a beloved nanny to many Woodland Haven families. We fell in love with her nurturing and creative self at school events and encouraged her to seek a future in working with preschool aged children in an academic setting. She is currently attending school to become a fully qualified teacher. Her calm and nurturing energy makes her the perfect Assistant Teacher. She enjoys spending time around a campfire listening to music or going on quad rides around the country hills.
