Welcome Room
Our welcome room is where you will drop off your child to begin their day. Their day will start with a welcome snack, giving them the opportunity to share a meal with their teacher and peers while providing them with a valuable opportunity for learning, connection and the cultivation of essential life skills. This space is where your child will develop important life skills, such as pouring, cooking (with child safe tools) and knowledge of healthy eating habits. For ease of drop off and pick up, your child will be in the welcome room for the beginning of their day and nearby in our play yard, art room or welcome room for the end of their day.
Art Classroom
At Woodland Wonder School, children engage in fun and educational activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Our entire program encourages exploration and creativity, however, this room in particular is designed to spark creativity and excitement for creating art! It is thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate tools that will nurture the development of fine motor skills and problem solving while also encompassing fun methods to learning about colors, numbers, letters and preschool math.

Literacy & Geography
This space is designed to spark curiosity for the land, people and languages on our planet Earth. In this space, they will learn about different continents, cultures and brief overview of different lifestyles and religions that encompass those lands. This space is where your child will primarily work on their language and literacy development, while engages in fun activities to promote retention of these skills. Our Chinese Teacher will use this classroom to introduce your children to Simplified Chinese, and our Primary Teachers will encompass Spanish and English language throughout all classrooms. For our Little Ferns group, we focus on school readiness and laying the foundation for future success, so they will spend a lot of their school time in this classroom developing their literacy and writing skills.
Math & Science
This room is where your child will develop curiosity and understanding about our solar system, our ecosystems, our plants and animals and their life cycles. They will explore challenging puzzles and objects that stimulate their understanding of mathematics and problem-solving abilities. With a combination of structured table time with their Primary Teacher and open-ended educational play, this classroom is designed to promote exploration and wonder of the beautiful world that they live in. This classroom will be home to our class pets and plants that we will grow for our garden.

Circle Time & Music
Music is a tool that brings our world together, and in this space, we share the fun experience of exploring different sounds and musical instruments from around the world (fun fact: our Art & Music Teacher, Ms. Dorothy, was born and raised in Jamaica!). This space also serves an important role in allowing teachers to lead an engaging circle time without children being tempted by toys around them. Our younger children, Little Sprouts, will spend a lot of their time in this classroom developing their social-emotional skills and learning about their colors, numbers, letters, shapes and more to prepare them for our more advanced classrooms.
Dramatic Play & Life Skills
In this space, your child is free to dress up and play whatever they wish (as long as they are playing with safe hands of course)! This classroom is designed to develop life skills, language skills, empathy and problem solving. This classroom is designed to promote creativity and self-expression, while also learning important life skills that will lay an important foundation for their future.

Sneak Peek!
Play Yard
Our play yard was thoughtfully designed for safety and exploration. Aside from using the play yard for physical development, the play yard is also designed to serve many other educational aspects. From sensory tables and play kitchen, to safe balance bikes and beams, materials were thoughtfully chosen to promote social interaction and collaboration among peers while also developing fine and gross motor skills. In addition to our play yard, we also have a secured courtyard garden space where children help plant, nurture and forage. These spaces are outdoor classrooms of their own that can be used for mealtime, art time or circle time.
